Yoga is a profound and comprehensive subject that goes far beyond what could ever possibly be taught in a typical Yoga class. Whether you are simply curious, have a deep desire to learn, or feel a calling to teach Yoga one day, the journey begins with a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training.

The Yoga Secrets 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training consists of 4 Master Weekends and 14 Sunday sessions.

The 4 Master Weekends cover the practices of traditional Yoga for a solid foundation in Yoga's basic principles and disciplines, including:

• a brief history of Yoga

• the creation of a daily sadhana

• mantra

• meditation

• sun salutations

• assisting

• Sankhya

• the basics of Ayurveda

• an introduction to Sanskrit

Each of the 14 Sunday session has two parts.

In the morning, there will be a discussion of the philosophical practices of yoga including:

• a study of the eight limbs

• subtle anatomy

• pranayama

• Yoga Sutra study

In the afternoon, we will examine the physical practice through:

• anatomy

• alignment

• cuing

• sequencing

• modifications

• contraindications

Lexa Chernin and Elizabeth Gehrt, co-owners of Yoga Secrets, are the creators and lead teachers of this training.

The scholarship will be awarded on December 20, 2023. Therefore, scholarship applications must be received by December 19, 2023.

Those not applying for the scholarship have until December 31, 2023 to submit their application.
